Our knowledgeable and dedicated all volunteer staff provides training for competence, appropriate attire for confidence, and motivation for success. We at The Lord’s Closet subscribe to the belief that the higher living standard of each individual raises the collective living standard.
Evaluating your job skills
We start with a simple intake form the gives us a sense for your work experience. Then you will sit down with you a member of our staff and brainstorm about some of the skills that you may have developed outside of work. Be it photography or gardening or childcare, we want to help you to identify all of your talents.
Practice Interviews
To be sure that you are ready when you are called for an interview, our team will practice with you so that you know what to say, how to say and how to answer any tough questions. We will also teach you to learn about the company you are applying to and show initiative by having an understanding of their business.
Job Coaching
This is where you look to match the broad range of skills we have identified with the specific jobs that are available in our area.
Computer Training
If the job you are seeking requires more computer skills or if you need assistance in learning how to search and apply for jobs online we will set you up with specific training to assist you.
Resume Writing
Our team will show you how to format the information you have identified into the standard format that today’s employers want to see.
Interview Clothing
Once you are ready for the interview, we will provide the clothing so that you can dress for success. You will be provided with 2 interview outfits including the appropriate shoes.
